How to use RB Digital Streaming Video
To begin, follow this link. This is the web portal to RB Digital.
The first time you visit, you’ll need to register—just click the link at the top of the page. Make sure you keep track of your username and password! Once you’re registered, sign in and you’ll be ready to use our streaming services. Click on the service you’d like to use. We’ll try AcornTV to begin with.
On this page you can learn more about the service before you choose to access it. If you decide you want to use the service, click the “access” button. There may be a pop-up screen that certifies you’re old enough to use this service, depending on the content included in that particular service. Once you’ve certified your age, you’ll need to create an account with the service provider you’re using.
For each service, you’ll need to create an account with that organization as well.
RB Digital makes it easy for you though—by clicking access to a service through their app, they will automatically create the account. All you have to do is choose a password and then you can start! At this point you can start streaming your favorite shows, movies, concerts, and more!
RB Digital on Mobile platforms
Are you interested in using the app versions, including the ability to stream to Chromecast, Amazon Firestick, and AppleTV? You can manage your service checkouts with the RB Digital app.
We’ve encountered difficulty trying to gain access to the services through the RB Digital app, so we recommend using the Chrome browser on a desktop or laptop. Once you’ve accessed a service, you can log into the mobile apps and use them quickly and easily. AcornTV, IndieFlix, Stingray Qello, and Pongalo all have apps that function seamlessly with RB Digital access. You can also use the library’s Roku boxes to access these services! Once again, you’ll have to gain access to your desired service from a computer, but once you’re home with the Roku, just log into that service’s app with your account, and you’re ready to stream.
