It’s hard to believe it, but summer vacation is starting to wrap up. If you’re buying back-to-school supplies, why not give Amazon Smile a chance?
Amazon Smile is one of Amazon’s primary philanthropic endeavors. It gives every Amazon user a chance to designate .5% of the cost of every item they buy towards a charity of their choosing. All items available on Amazon.com are available on Amazon Smile as well, and at the same price. The Johnson City Public Library has been affiliated with Amazon Smile for years now, and we thank all of you who have designated us as your charity!
Cathy Griffith, Assistant Director at the Johnson City Public Library, says that the library has received only a small amount through Amazon Smile. “I hope that as more people become aware of the program, the donations we get will go up.” She continues, “Amazon’s really made it easy to make your everyday purchases and help the library at the same time.”
