Join us on Thursday, February 7 from 2-4 p.m. in the Jones Meeting Room for February’s Adult Creative Makerspace. We will be creating stamped metal jewelry like those in the image above. Registration is not required, and all materials for the craft are provided.
Selena Harmon in JCPL’s Adult Services Department, who will be leading the stamped metal jewelry craft, says that the inspiration for this project comes from the concept of the “one word resolution.” During the program, participants will answer questions meant to facilitate self-reflection, and from there will choose a word that expresses their resolution for the year.
The Makerspace program meets the first Thursday of every month, and each features a new artistic method. The projects are intended for adults only so that participants can relax and have time for themselves. Selena explains that the monthly Makerspace program “provides artistic outlets for those who might not otherwise have the motivation, inspiration, or confidence to create. The Adult Creative Makerspace allows participants to slow down, focus on themselves, discover hidden talents, and maybe make some new friends.”
