Join us for an Artful Aging exhibit, Dare to Dream, located at Slocumb Galleries ((ETSU Campus, 232 Sherrod Dr, Johnson City, TN) on the East Tennessee State University campus. The exhibit opens with a reception Friday, July 27th at 5:00 PM. The opening reception gives students from the Folk Art and Animal Abstractions Artful Aging classes a chance to display their work and discuss the artistic process. This reception is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served. The exhibit will close August 15.
Artful Aging programs at the Johnson City Public Library bring adults 55 and up together with professional teaching artists to explore the joy of self-expression that art-making brings. Johnson City Public Library offered workshops throughout 2018 thanks to a “Seeding Artful Aging” grant from Aroha Philanthropies.
