Babies & Books

Babies & Books is a lapsit storytime designed for our youngest patrons and their caregivers. This storytime is based on the early literacy components of the Every Child Ready to Read Initiative: talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing.

The program typically lasts for 20-25 minutes, consisting of several songs and rhymes, accompanying books, and fun sensory activities, with a social/play time afterward. Recommended for ages birth to 18 months with attending caregivers. The program is held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays in the Library's Jones Meeting Center. Caregivers may choose which day suits their schedule best to attend.

There is no registration for this program, but tickets must be obtained at the Children's Desk for entry into the room. The Children's Library uses tickets for large events to ensure we are in compliance with fire code for the safety of our patrons and staff.
