Event Details

JCPL will host a Census Solutions Workshop as part of its Census 2020 programming in partnership with the Census Bureau. The event is an ideation (or 'idea generation') workshop bringing together diverse people and organizations to solve challenges related to the next census count. This includes issues and problems like reaching hard-to-count populations and under-served groups through creative problem solving exercises. Participants generate new ideas promoting empathy and the customized needs of real people–whether they are Census staff, volunteers, public advocates, or partners.
This event is free and open to the public. The workshop will be led by Kevin Flanary, the local partnership specialist for Johnson City, and Census Bureau staff from its Knoxville office.
