Family Makerspace: Snowflakes

Bring the whole family out to make a fun craft together! Our family makerspace is creating craft stick snowflakes in the Jones Meeting Room on January 18 at 6:00 PM. Although the program is designed with school age children in mind, families with younger or older children are welcome. All materials will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Jennifer Johnson, JCPL’s School Age Program Coordinator, says she wants attendees to think big. “I want our attendees to build big! I hope families will work together to build something big, or geometric, or otherwise awesome!”

Family Makerspace events are held every month at the Johnson City Public Library, where families are given a chance to work together to create something new. Previous events have included a cardboard challenge, family fort night, paper circuits, and more.
