For meetings and events, the Jones Meeting Center offers a full suite of amenities to make your experience productive and pleasant. The center features two rooms, state-of-the-art multimedia capabilities, wireless networking, a spacious lobby, catering kitchen, a piano, buffet counter, flexible seating and table arrangements, restrooms, and convenient, first floor access to the library’s main entrance.
At the heart of the center are the Carl A. Jones and the Kathryn P. Jones rooms, which may be rented separately or together as a large, combined room. When combined, the center accommodates 100 at tables and 156 in auditorium seating. For dining arrangements, round tables seating six to eight can be requested. Seminar tables are available for business meetings, training, and workshops.
The kitchen features a full size refrigerator, microwave oven, serving cart, dishwasher, and separate outside kitchen entrance. Customers are required to provide all food, beverages, utensils, and containers.
Multimedia and Networking
The following equipment is available in each meeting room:
- Wall-mounted 70″ Sharp Aquos LED TVs
- Overhead speakers for pervasive audio
- Blu-Ray, DVD video and CD-ROM player
- Wall-mounted touch panels for full audio/video system control
- Wireless, hand-held microphone or lapel mike
For PowerPoint and Internet-based presentations, customers may interface their laptops to wall jacks (HDMI or VGA cables provided) for data presentations. The entire center has Wi-Fi networking, so both presenters and attendees may bring wireless devices such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones to enjoy high speed Internet access. One of the major strengths of the Jones Meeting Center is that both rooms can be combined for simultaneous video presentations on both screens as well as combined room audio.
