The Tennessee Room is a quiet study room housing books, periodicals, and genealogical files on the history of Tennessee, with a focus on Northeast Tennessee. These research materials will be of particular interest to genealogists and local historians, but all library patrons are welcome to use the room and its materials. Due to the unique nature of many of the items, Tennessee Room items are available for on-site use only.
Library reference staff can provide basic help locating resources. The Watauga Association of Genealogists (WAGS) meets at the library from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month, and is another great resource for genealogy and local history researchers.
