Do you have an idea worth spreading? A passion or expertise that you think will inspire and educate others? You can apply to become a 2026 TEDx speaker and amplify your message for a large audience!
To help you do that, your Library is partnering with TEDxJohnsonCity to offer an interactive workshop on Thursday, September 25 at 6 p.m. in the Library’s Jones Meeting Center. Registration is required; you can sign up here.
Alumni from the 2025 TEDxJohnsonCity, including Amber Kinser, Jonathan Fields, Jordan Bailey, and Stephen Hopkins, will talk about the process to become a TEDx speaker. Attendees can also bring their story and topic ideas to ask questions, receive one-on-one feedback, and craft a compelling pitch with the help of people who have done it.
TEDxJohnsonCity 2026 takes place on Friday, June 26, and applications for 2026 speakers are now being accepted. The Library’s event is the perfect opportunity to explore how to turn your curiosity, passion, and expertise in a subject into a presentation that can educate and inspire others.
The purpose of TEDxJohnsonCity is to highlight the real stories and passions of people in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. Carefully selected speakers give enlightening talks about a variety of topics that inspire and ignite people’s curiosity, creativity, and connections.
