Support the Library

There are several ways you can get involved with the Library’s work! Find the possibilities below.

Donate

You can donate financially to your Library, either directly to the Library or through our endowment fund with East Tennessee Foundation.

Click here if you would like to donate directly to the Library.

You can contribute assets of value to the Johnson City Public Library (JCPL) Fund, an endowment fund with East Tennessee Foundation. Learn more about the JCPL Fund and how to contribute here.

We accept donations of books and media as well, which are sold at Friends of the Library book sales. All proceeds from the Friends’ sales go directly to furthering the Library’s work. Click here to find out how to donate items.

Volunteer at the Library

Your Library depends on volunteer help from our community! Volunteering at the Library can also fulfill college or court-appointed service hours. We have volunteer opportunities for teens and adults.

See our Volunteer page for more information about volunteering at the library and to find forms to apply for volunteer opportunities. You may also call (423) 434-4359 to learn about our volunteer options.
