Front Porch Concerts Feature Diverse Musicians

Your Library is hosting a weekly series of outdoor concerts every Sunday through October 24. The Front Porch Concerts are held on the Library’s front steps at 3 p.m. Please bring a chair or blanket if you want to.

Adult Services Manager Lisa Krekelberg is thrilled that the Library is offering this month-long series. “We have such an eclectic variety of music represented, from the ETSU Saxophone Ensemble to local singer-songwriters to a bluegrass band,” she says. “There is something for everyone to enjoy.”

The next concert, on October 3, features local singer-songwriter daniel couper. His music mingles blues, rock, pop, and folk influences to create a contemplative, honest, and fervently hopeful listening experience.

Local musicians Bets Couper, Jason Hardy, and Jeremy Walker will join daniel couper for the Front Porch Concert.

daniel couper’s self-produced debut album, Bienvenu, was released in 2017. It was followed by Epilogue, which contains five songs based on works of literature. Click here to learn more about couper and sample his music.

The other upcoming concerts in our Front Porch series feature:
October 10: ETSU Saxophone Ensemble
October 17: Felix & the Side Effects
October 24: Daniel Byrd

Please note that if rain is in the forecast, concerts will be canceled. Call Adult Services at (423) 434-4454 for more information about the Front Porch Concert Series.
