Your Library is hosting free, family-friendly outdoor concerts featuring local bands on Sundays in October from 4-5:30 p.m.

These fall “front porch” concerts are held on the Library’s front steps, which provides the audience with a beautiful view of King Commons Park and Buffalo Mountain’s changing leaves in the distance.

This year’s line-up includes:
October 8: Demon Waffle
October 15: Daniel Byrd’s Boogie Machine
October 22: Alexis Wax

The next concert, featuring Alexis Wax, is this Sunday, October 22. They will play on the Library’s front steps from 4-5:30 p.m.

Alexis Wax is a group of Tri-Citians who have been playing together off and on since the early 1990s. They play all-original improvisational rock music.

JCPL Adult Services Manager Lisa Livesay is happy that the Library is partnering with local musicians to offer this month-long series. She says, “We have such a talented community of musicians that spans a wide variety of genres, and we are thrilled to feature them at the Library.”

“We love holding these concerts on our ‘front porch’,” Livesay says. “The Library’s front steps offer beautiful views of our mountains and make a lovely setting for a concert.”
