If you’re unable to visit Johnson City Public Library due to illness, disability, or other mobility challenges, we can help bring the Library to you. Your Library’s homebound services connect eligible patrons with books, audiobooks, movies, and other materials from our collection. Library staff and trained volunteers (known as “Friendly Visitors”) work with you to select items based on your interests and deliver them directly to your home. This service is available to Johnson City residents who are temporarily or permanently homebound and unable to visit the Library or send someone on their behalf.
Program Requirements
The Library’s homebound services:
- Require a library card in good standing
- Available only within Johnson City’s city limits
