Friends of the Johnson City Public Library hold an ongoing used book sale in the Library’s Polly Peterson Room (directly to the right when you enter the front door). You can pay at the Circulation Desk; cash and cards are accepted.
Friends of the Johnson City Public Library hold a spring and fall book sale every year. The sales are held the last weekends of April and October. Sales are open to the public, with a special preview sale for Friends members the day before.
Friends sale prices are unbeatable. Paperbacks cost $1 and hardbacks cost $3; children’s picture books are 2 for $1 and children’s chapter books are $1 each. CDs are 4 for $1 and DVDs are $1 each. People can also purchase a library tote bag full of books for $25.
